Shipping & Payment

Purchasing items from Howick Midwife Ltd

♦ All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$).

♦ Prices show cost of the product with GST (applicable to NZ customers only) as well as without GST for those customers who do not reside in NZ.


New Zealand Shipping Charges

♦ We aim to have all goods dispatched within 24hrs of receiving your payment (excludes weekends and public holidays where we will ship/contact you on the next working day).  We will email you if there is a delaying in dispatching your order. Most orders are delivered within 2-3 days of Howick Midwife Ltd receiving the order. Delivery to rural areas may take longer.


♦ Howick Midwife Ltd will ship anywhere in New Zealand but NOT to PO Box Address.  We use Fastways Courier or NZ post to ship your order.


♦ All NZ orders over $100 are delivered free of Charge (excludes when reward points or postage take the order to below $100, orders to be shipped to Great Barrier Island, Waiheke Island, Stewart Island, the Chathams Islands or if you live in some other remote or isolated island).


♦ A $6 delivery charge will be added to all NZ orders below $100 (excludes big bulky items as well as orders to be shipped to Great Barrier Island, Waiheke Island, Stewart Island, the Chathams Islands or if you live in some other remote or isolated island). Big bulky items may incur additional charges – we will contact you if this is the case so you can decide whether you wish to proceed with the order. We do not charge extra for rural delivery but please let us know that you have a rural address so we apply appropriate ticketing on your package to avoid delay. 


♦ We are happy to ship orders to Great Barrier Island, Waiheke Island, Stewart Island, the Chatham Islands or if you live in some other remote or isolated island or location but reserve the right to change the shipping price to your location as we are unfortunately unable to subsidise shipping to you. We will contact you with the shipping cost to your location so you can decide if you wish to proceed with the order. Usual courier cost to Waiheke Island and Stewart Island is $19 per delivery.


♦ We do offer Saturday delivery to selected major metropolitan destinations. The cost of Saturday delivery is an additional $5.75 per ordertotal shipping being $11.75. You are able to select this option at the checkout. Note: For Saturday delivery we do need to receive your order on Friday by 10am.


♦ Wanting to send gift(s) overseas? We are happy to send your order overseas  – please make sure you provide the address the gift(s) need to be shipped to – International Shipping charges will apply.


♦ Please ensure a correct delivery address is supplied for every order. Howick Midwife Ltd may charge you all reasonable cost associated with any re-delivery.


♦ Please note that payments by direct credit to our bank account can sometimes take 1-2 working days to appear in our account depending on who you bank with. Order will be shipped once your payment has been validated/confirmed in our account.


♦ We will e-mail you the tracking code and the courier’s website for ease of tracking so you know exactly where your order is, once it has left our dispatch area.


♦ If for some reason a delivery is missing an item or number of items then please inform Howick Midwife Ltd ( or within 48hrs of the goods being signed for. There will be no recompense for any items, if we are not informed of the shortfall within the given time frame.


♦ We try to hold most products in stock.  At times there may be products out of stock in which case your order will be placed on “Back Order”. We will inform you of this as well as the anticipated time frame the product will be available to be dispatched to you, so you can decide if you wish to cancel or proceed with your order.


♦ Howick Midwife Ltd uses a tracked courier service for majority of the orders. We welcome use of the "Comments Box" before confirming your order for any instructions, however we can’t guarantee that the instructions will be followed to the letter. Our couriers will not call in advance to arrange delivery at a specific time. You are able to organize a re-delivery if you were left a calling card. If you would like a no-signature required delivery please state this in the “Comments Box” as well as the safe place to leave your order so we can complete “Authority to Leave without Signature” form. Note: This is at your own risk as Howick Midwife Ltd will not be responsible for any items that go missing when you have requested a no-signature delivery.


International Shipping Charges

♦ Delivery charges will apply to all international orders unless you are ordering from overseas for the order that needs to be shipped within NZ where NZ GST & Shipping charges will apply.


♦ Air International is an untracked shipping option, Howick Midwife Ltd will not be responsible for orders that get lost in transit. For air international orders you will receive an email advising the date your order was shipped on. Most products weighing up to 200g can be shipped world wide for $15.00 with delivery target of 3 – 10 working days from day the order is shipped however during busy times there may be delay (e.g. prior to Xmas etc). Please note timing of delivery is approximate and not guaranteed. For items weighing more than 200g you are able to get the estimated shipping cost during check out so you can decide if you wish to confirm your order. If by any chance the postage is significantly less than what you were charged at the check out we do refund the difference to ensure you are only paying for the actual cost of the postage. 


♦ If you wish to have your order shipped via express courier (delivery target 1 - 5 working days) please contact us at or so we can email you the cost of shipping your order by express courier - you will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. 



♦  Credit Card (via Paypal – you do not have to Register with Paypal, it is free for you to use to make a payment & your financial information is not shared with us by Paypal )


♦  Direct credit to our bank account – you will be able to see the account number when you select this option.


♦  Lay-By option is available at the checkout. Please see our Lay-By terms Here


♦  EFTPOS or Cash (NZ Only) at the time of pick up. When using EFTPOS for payment there is no additional charge when using Cheque or Savings account to make your payment however we do have surcharge of 3% per order if you are paying by Credit Card. At present we are unable to accept payWave.


Picking up an order and viewing

♦ We are an online business however we are happy for you to negotiate the date and time to view or pick up an order. Please indicate in the “Comments Box” if you wish to pick up your order or alternatively phone/txt: 021474057 to negotiate the date and time to view or pick up an order.


♦ The viewing of the product(s) and picking up of an order will be at: 76 Cook Street, Howick, Auckland 2014.


Gifts wrapping

♦ We offer free gift-wrapping service & a link to include this service with your order is provided following description of the product on our website.


♦ We are very happy to send your order as a gift to a lucky recipient. Remember to include the recipients address in the delivery section of the shipping cart and use the “comments box” to include a special message or a greeting that we need to include with the gift. All gift items are sent to the recipient without an invoice, the invoice will be emailed to the purchaser on the day the order is dispatched.


Colour Disclaimer

♦ We endeavour to accurately represent all colours offered on our website.  However we cannot control the variation that may be caused by different PC monitors. We are happy to refund purchases for customers who are dissatisfied with the colour as long as they are returned in accordance with the returns procedure above.


Typographical Errors

♦ In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or incorrect information, Howick Midwife Ltd reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders.  Howick Midwife Ltd will make all reasonable effort to contact the customer using the details provided and all received monies will be refunded.


Expiry Date on products

♦ We ensure that the product has a reasonable expiry date timeframe at the time of purchase. However please feel free to contact us by email ( or or txt 021474057) if you are not planning to use the products such as waterwipes/ creams etc immediately. We are very happy to provide the expiry date of the product you are planning to purchase.


Order Cancellations

♦ Orders may only be cancelled if the item has not been shipped when the cancellation has been requested. Please email or or phone: 021474057 if you wish to cancel an order. If your order has already been shipped please read our returns policy for information on returning an item.
